Best Saints-Buccaneers Prop Bets

Alvin Kamara UNDER 12.5 Rush Attempts -114 (FanDuel)

Alvin Kamara and the Saints join the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams as the most disappointing teams in football. The Saints sit in last place in the NFC South at a record of 4-8 and don’t own their first-round pick in this upcoming draft, as they traded it to move up in last year’s draft to select Chris Olave. With that being said, the Saints are only one game back in the win column to the first-place Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who they will be taking on tonight on the road as 3-point underdogs.

The Saints are using Kamara more in the passing game than in years past. With Andy Dalton under center and trailing in most games, Kamara has seen at least five targets in 7 of 10 games and seeing less work in the running game. Head coach Dennis Allen continues to use Swiss-army knife Taysom Hill in multiple ways. Hill has put together back-to-back weeks of at least six carries and will once again be called upon in short-yardage situations. Fellow running back Mark Ingram II returned to action last week and registered four carries against the stingy San Francisco 49ers run defense.

The Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady, will look to jump out to an early lead and take command of this divisional game. The last thing the Saints want to do is trail early and depend on Dalton to bring them back. Look for the Saints to lean on Kamara more in the passing game and have designed runs for Hill and Ingram. Kamara has gone under this line in four straight games and has failed to record at least 10 carries in four of 10 games.

Chris Godwin 50+ Yards Receiving + Chris Olave 40+ Yards Receiving -128 (FanDuel)

Chris Godwin and Chris Olave will headline both offenses on Monday night. Godwin is Brady‘s favorite target, as he’s caught at least six passes in eight straight games, including a season-high 12 last week in their overtime loss against the Cleveland Browns. After returning to action in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, Godwin has a 23% target share and has gone over this line in six of eight games.

Olave will look to make his case for Offensive Rookie of the Year tonight, as he is currently +460 on FanDuel. He leads all rookies in receptions per game and yards receiving per game and is second in total receptions behind Jets receiver Garrett Wilson, who has played one more game than Olave.

Olave is Dalton‘s favorite target. He has at least five targets in all of Dalton’s starts this season and tore up the Buccaneers secondary in Week 2 (without Kamara) for 80 yards. Olave has gone over this line in all 11 career games and will look to keep the Saints alive in the NFC South race.
