Browns vs. Buccaneers Prediction and Odds: Tom Brady’s Heating Up

The Buccaneers sit atop the NFC South despite having just a 5-5 record. With their division foes struggling, the Buccaneers have an opportunity to work through their early season issues and still make the playoffs. They will try to get their record above .500 in a Week 12 battle with the Browns. Let’s dig into the Browns-Buccaneers prediction and look at the best NFL odds. Tom Bradys Heating Up

Brady has been a touchdown machine since arriving in Tampa Bay, posting back-to-back seasons with at least 40 touchdown passes. That’s been his biggest area of weakness this season, accumulating just 12 touchdown passes over 10 games. The Buccaneers will be coming out of their bye week, so they have had plenty of time to prepare for a Browns defense that has allowed 14 touchdown passes and picked off only three passes this season. The NFL Player Props Tool has Brady projected to throw for 271.9 yards and 1.9 touchdowns in this matchup.

The Browns have some contrasting numbers with regards to their run defense. On the bright side, they have allowed the fifth-fewest rushing yards per game. However, they’ve allowed the third-most rushing touchdowns (16). The Buccaneers have the fourth-fewest rushing attempts in the league and their four rushing touchdowns are tied for the fewest in the league, so it will be interesting to see if they can find their way into the endzone on the ground.

Jacoby Brissett’s Last Call

Brissett had his best game of the season in Week 11, throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns against the Bills. However, it was only his second game of the season with multiple touchdown passes and his first game with at least 300 passing yards. This will likely be his last start for the Browns with Deshaun Watson set to return from his suspension in Week 13. The Browns have been a run-heavy team with Brissett under center and will likely continue to lean heavily on Nick Chubb. The NFL Player Props Tool has Chubb projected to finish this game with 80.5 rushing yards.

The strength of the Buccaneers defense was the run last season, but they haven’t been as stingy in that department in 2022. They are middle of the pack in terms of rushing yards allowed per game, but they have at least held opponents to just five rushing touchdowns. They have been excellent at slowing down opponents through the air, allowing the fifth-fewest passing yards per game. Their 32 sacks are also tied for the fourth-most in the league.

Final Browns vs. Buccaneers Prediction & Pick

It’s difficult to envision the Buccaneers losing this game coming out of their bye week. Brissett has put up underwhelming production for most of the season, so expect the Buccaneers to focus on slowing down Chubb first and foremost. If he can’t rack up yards on the ground, this game could get ugly in a hurry for the Browns.

Final Browns vs. Buccaneers Pick: Buccaneers -3 (-115 Bet MGM)
