Chicago Bears Futures: One Bettor Goes Big on a Bears Super Bowl

The Chicago Bears will hope they can make strides in their rebuild and work their way to the top of the standings in the near future, but is it really plausible to expect them to go on a Super Bowl run as soon as next season? Well, one bettor certainly thinks so, and that individual is willing to put his money where his mouth is.

Bears 2023 Super Bowl Bets Popular During NFL Offseason

Per VSIN’s Ben Fawkes, one bettor over at Caesars Sportsbook put $3,000 on the Bears (100-1) to win the 2023 Super Bowl. The bet would pay out $300K if it were to somehow hit. The Bears are currently near the bottom of Caesars’ odds to win the Super Bowl. The Bears’ futures show they are also a longshot to win the NFC (+3000).

After securing the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, the Bears are faced with a tough decision: move forward with the dynamic Justin Fields as their quarterback, or get more of a polished passer such as Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud with the pick. For now, the most likely scenario is that they opt to trade the pick to a QB-needy team, continuing to build around Fields’ talents.

“Justin did some really good things — I’m excited about where is game is going to go,” Bears GM Ryan Poles said, per the NFL website. “But at the same time when you sit at our situation at one overall, you have to do your due diligence. You have to investigate everything, you gotta spend time with those guys just to make sure we’re making the right decision. What’s important to me, and I think everyone knows me by now and how I want to treat our players, we will be in communication with Justin along the way just to make sure that he knows what we’re doing and nothing’s a surprise to him.”

Fields showed his elite scrambling ability throughout last season, running for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns, but still showed some growing pains in the passing game. He completed 60.7% of his passes, throwing for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

If the Bears are going to make the next leap into a true Super Bowl contender (and make this bettor one incredibly happy man) they are going to need Fields to take the next step in his development and blossom into a true star in the league. It is hard to imagine that all the pieces are going to come together fast enough to the point where we’ll be talking about the Bears’ Super Bowl chances next season. But the fan base — and this Bears Super Bowl bettor — will hope the unlikely scenario occurs.
