The Houston Texans will be severely undermanned on the offensive side of the ball when they take on the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles to kick off Week 9 on Thursday Night Football. In Dfs, our rankings system has Moore ($3,400) projected higher than Dorsett ($3,100) at 9.25 compared to Dorsett’s 6.77.
Through eight weeks of the season, Moore has 10 receptions on 16 targets for 128 yards and a touchdown. Dorsett has just four receptions on 12 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown.
“Phillip has been working hard throughout the offseason, training camp, into the season, it hasn’t changed,” offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said via SI. “He understands that he has a great opportunity to show that he is an every-down player. It was important for our offense for him to make that play down in the red zone, and we expect that he’ll be able to make more plays.”
Dorsett and Moore have had success in the NFL with other teams, but have yet to prove to be difference-makers on a Texans offense that lacks much talent.
While the Texans will likely try to get Moore and Dorsett more involved going forward, it’ll be hard to take a chance on either until they show a connection with quarterback Davis Mills.
