Colts vs. Cowboys Betting Odds and Trends: Bettors Favor Dallas, Over in SNF

The Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts appear to be headed in separate directions ahead of their Sunday Night Football matchup, and the Cowboys-Colts betting odds reflects that. Dallas opened as a 9.5-point favorite but have been bumped up to 10.5 with just hours until kickoff.

According to BetMGM data analyst John Ewing, bettors are favoring the Cowboys, with 56% of bets and 66% of money on them to cover the spread. But the biggest public action is on the over, with 77% of bets and 80% of money on that wager.

Dallas (8-3) comes into Week 13 as a confident team, winning their Thanksgiving game against the New York Giants 28-20. The Cowboys seem to have found their winning formula running the football, with Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott behind a stout offensive line. Last week, it was Elliott who outshined Pollard, running 16 times for 92 yards and a touchdown. Pollard added 60 yards rushing.

Indianapolis  (4-7-1) suffered another tough loss in what has been a forgettable season in Week 12, losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17 on Monday Night Football.

“It’s frustrating. There’s no doubt about it,” Colts quarterback Matt Ryan said after the loss via NFL.com. “… It’s one thing one week, it’s another thing another week, it’s another thing another week, and that part has been frustrating for sure. I think all of us in the building feel that way and are disappointed with where we’re at.”

While the Colts and their fans continue to share disappointment for the way this season has turned out, the Cowboys are trying to get over the hump. In the second year of the Mike McCarthy tenure last season, the Cowboys lost in the Wild Card Round after missing out on the playoffs altogether the prior season. The last time Dallas made it past the Divisional Round was when they won the Super Bowl in 1995.
