Cowboys vs. Vikings Prediction & Odds: Vikings Being Disrespected

Perhaps the most intriguing matchup on the Week 11 NFL slate is the Dallas Cowboys at the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings (8-1) currently hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but the Cowboys (6-3) are a slight betting favorite. Let’s look at the Cowboys-Vikings prediction, odds and pick.

NFL Odds: Cowboys vs. Vikings Odds

Spread: Cowboys -1.5 (-110), Vikings +1.5 (-110)

Moneyline: Cowboys -120, Vikings +100

Over/Under: 48.5 (-110)

Per BetMGM’s John Ewing, bettors are split on the game, with 49% of bets and 59% of money on the Cowboys to cover the spread. Despite just 39% of bets on the Cowboys to win the game, 69% of the money is on the -120 moneyline, with 75% of bets and 74% of money on the over.

While the Cowboys and Vikings sit in playoff position in the NFC, they have some flaws that have been exploited throughout the season. For Dallas, it’s the running defense, especially of late. The Cowboys have boasted a strong defense, ranking fifth in the NFL in points allowed at 18.1, but they rank 27th allowing 4.8 yards per rush. The flaws were especially prevalent when they allowed Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones to rush for 138 yards and a touchdown during an overtime loss in Week 10.

The Vikings have been making a habit of winning close games. The only game they’ve won by more than one score was 23-7 over the Packers in Week 1. Minnesota used an opportunistic defense to force two Josh Allen turnovers down the stretch to cap an overtime win at the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.

Minnesota gets to play in front of a raucous crowd Sunday. Look for the Vikings to use running back Dalvin Cook to try to get downhill against the Cowboys defense.

Final Cowboys-Vikings Pick: Vikings +1.5 (BetMGM)
