Insane Tom Brady ‘8,292 Days’ Stat Will Leave You Pondering Life’s Deepest Meanings

For as long as a lot of us can remember Tom Brady has been a starting quarterback in the NFL, and one Tom Brady stat will continue to amaze fans in terms of  the QB’s longevity.

Tom Brady Stat Amazes NFL Fans

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wednesday marks a monumental day for TB12, as he has now been in the NFL for exactly half of his entire 45-year life. He was 22 years, 8 months, 13 days (8,292 days) old when selected 199th overall on Day 2 of 2000 NFL Draft. Wednesday marks the date where it has been 22 years, 8 months, 13 days (8,292 days) since he was drafted.

Although Tom Brady flirted with the retirement life last offseason, he decided to come back on his last contract year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and give himself (at least) one more chance to win his eighth Super Bowl championship. Despite coming into the season as one of the few favorites to win the Lombardi Trophy, Brady’s Bucs have struggled to find the same elite level of play they had maintained for the previous two seasons.

At 7-8, the Buccaneers still find themselves atop a weak NFC South division. But as fans and media members speculate on what Tom Brady‘s future will look like following this frustrating year, the veteran quarterback continues to maintain that his sole focus is on making another deep run this year.

“Well, I think next time I decide to retire, that’s it for me, so whenever that day comes, we’ll figure it out,” Brady said on his podcast with Jim Gray, per The Spun.

“I think what I really realized last year was you got to be really sure to do that,” Brady added. “And for me, you know, a lot of people have kind of gone through this situation… I’m going to take my time whenever that time does come.”

All Tom Brady and the Buccaneers need to do this week is win their game against the Carolina Panthers and they will lock up their second consecutive NFC South title and third consecutive playoff berth. They are currently a three-point favorite (per DraftKings) over the Panthers.
