PrizePicks NBA Player Props | Dec. 29

If you are looking for some free bets, DraftKings has the offer for you. All you need to do is bet $5 on a moneyline and you win $150 if your team is victorious! Once you’ve locked in your $150 in free bets, you can up the stakes on your NBA player props with some riskier plays that are of no cost to you.

Jalen Williams Over 4.5 Rebounds

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been running strange rotations all season long, but those are likely to be a bit more clear cut after forward Aleksej Pokusevski went down with a knee injury last game. With Pokusevski ruled out for the next month or two, there will be a couple young guys that will be looked upon to step up.

Enter Jalen Williams. When Pokusevski went down in that last outing, Williams played extremely well and looked like someone that can thrive with some extra usage. On the season, he’s averaging just 6.1 rebound chances per game compared to Pokusevski’s 9.8 per game. When that injury happened last time out, however, Williams truly became a factor on the glass, as he finished the game with 14 rebound chances — nearly eight more than he’s averaged per game this year. He wound up pulling down nine rebounds, which led the team in that category.

Williams has been locked into 30 or more minutes per game for the entire month of December. This Pokusevski injury will further solidify those minutes while also providing Williams with more rebounding opportunities. OddsShopper lists this play at -132 on FanDuel.

Tim Hardaway Jr. Over 3.5 Rebounds

Over the last week or so, the Dallas Mavericks have condensed their rotation in a big way. This change has led to Tim Hardaway Jr. playing 38.7 minutes per game over his last five outings. Considering Hardaway is averaging 27.6 minutes per game this season, the increase of 10 to 11 minutes recently has really positively affected his stats. Over those last five games, he has pulled down 5.4 rebounds per game and at least four rebounds in four of those five. He’s averaged nine rebound chances per game in that span. For context, he averaged just 4.8 rebound chances per game in the entire month of November when he was playing 23 minutes per game, and he still recorded 2.3 rebounds per game.

Tonight the Mavericks will take on the Houston Rockets, a team against which Hardaway had seven rebounds in just 32 minutes three games ago. OddsShopper shows this play at -139 on Caesars.
