Zach Wilson O/U 29.5 Passing Attempts

Wilson returned under center for the Jets last week. After multiple failed attempts to start other quarterbacks, New York landed back on Wilson, and he led the team to a win over the Texans.

The biggest takeaway from last week was the confidence the Jets showed in Wilson. They allowed him to throw the ball 36 times in a 24-point win over the Texans. The Jets are 8.5-point underdogs this week, which should create another favorable game script for Wilson to throw the ball.

Dameon Pierce O/U 20.5 Rushing Yards

This low rushing prop looks like an overreaction to the game Pierce had last week. He finished with just four rushing attempts for 9 yards. When looking at the results, we have to consider the outcome of the game. The Texans lost by 24 points, so there wasn’t much time in the game where it made sense to run the football.

Prior to last week, Pierce only had one game all season with fewer than 11 rushing attempts. Even though he only averages 2.9 yards per carry, Pierce is going to get over 20.5 rushing yards more than often than not on his typical number of touches. Houston could also lean more on its running game than normal with C.J. Stroud out this week.
