Seahawks-Giants First Touchdown Bets for Monday Night Football (Oct. 2)

New York, New York — well, technically New Jersey. The final game of Week 4 kicks off as the Seahawks look to continue the awful prime time trend of Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. Someone has to score, right? Expect some points in this one, and OddsShopper is all over who will score first. Technically, only one of these bets can hit, but if you place the right amount, then either will be profitable. Two guys need to step it up early to give their respective squad a fighting chance. Here are the best Seahawks-Giants first touchdown prop bets from either side in tonight’s MNF game.

New York Giants First Touchdown Prop

Daniel Jones is running out of time. He may have a semi-massive contract, but he also may not be long for the job in New York. A head coach not tied to Jones combined with an out in the deal allows the Giants some flexibility. Beating the Seahawks in prime time on Monday Night would go a long way to restore some confidence. The Giants have yet to cover a spread this year, and their offense looks putrid at times — partly due to the disappearance of Darren Waller. This marriage hasn’t worked out yet on the field, but one thing that brings the two together is desperation. If Jones knows what’s good for him, he’ll heavily target his tight end against a team willing to give up yards to the position. Seattle is healthy in the secondary, Saquon Barkley is out, and the Giants receivers are not to be trusted. Jones has no other choice but to force feed Waller to paydirt.

Seahawks-Giants First Touchdown Scorer Bet: Darren Waller +1600 (FanDuel)

Seattle Seahawks First Touchdown Prop

D.K. Metcalf has only found the end zone one time this year. He and fellow receiver Tyler Lockett are facing a weakened Giants secondary led by a pair of rookies — first-rounder Deonte Banks and Tre Hawkins III. The latter and lesser talent will most likely square off against Lockett. Geno Smith should take full advantage of this and pick on the rookie as the weaker link. The common thought would be to jump on Lockett, as he has the easier matchup, but help will come to Hawkins’ side before Lockett scores first. Kenneth Walker III is the chalk back to cross first, but the value is sucked out at 5-1. Noah Fant returned two weeks ago and is on Smith’s radar at least – four grabs in each of the two games. At 29-1, he stands a solid chance of benefiting from extra help shading towards Lockett. Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale loves to blitz; he can’t help himself. That pressure means quicker throws even closer to the goal line. Fant will get his first touchdown of the year first to open up tonight’s game.

Seahawks-Giants First Touchdown Scorer Bet: Noah Fant +2900 (FanDuel)
