PrizePicks NBA Player Predictions: Clint Capela & More

Clint Capela M/L 11.5 Points

The Hawks are 3-point home underdogs at home against the surging Suns, who are 8-2 in their last 10 games and have the second-best offensive rating in that stretch. Meanwhile, Atlanta ranks 26th in offensive rating in their last 10 games, leading to a 5-5 record. Now that the Suns are healthy, they are rolling on offense and defense, allowing just 48.8 points in the paint in their last 10, good for 10th in the NBA. Clint Capela will have a tough time getting to 12 points tonight.

Capela is averaging 11.4 points on the season while playing just 25.5 minutes per game. He has had two good back-to-back outings against the Lakers without Anthony Davis and the Raptors, who started Thaddeus Young at center. Tonight he’ll have a tougher time against Jusuf Nurkic.

Taking a look at OddsShopper, we see the under on 11.5 points gives us a 4% EV and -129 true odds. PrizePicks likes to bump their projections quickly, so get in on this now before it goes to 11.0.

Best PrizePicks NBA Player Prediction: Clint Capela Less Than 11.5 Points

Kevin Durant M/L 12 Rebounds + Assists

Kevin Durant is enjoying a nice stretch as the Suns have started to click, moving the Suns into 6th in the West. During the last 10 games, Durant is averaging 38.6 minutes per game, the third most in the NBA, and this is with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal healthy. Durant is averaging 6.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists on the season.

Tonight he’ll enjoy a matchup against the Hawks, who rank fourth in pace and 27th in defensive rating. More specifically, the Hawks rank 24th in both rebounds and assists allowed to power forwards. Durant is averaging 5.5 assists on 8.3 potential assists during this 10-game hot streak. This game has the highest total on the night, and with just a 3-point spread, it should stay close enough for Durant to get his 38 minutes and get to 13 rebounds + assists tonight.

Best PrizePicks NBA Player Prediction: Kevin Durant More Than 12 Rebounds + Assists

De’Aaron Fox M/L 27.5 Points

The Kings are fifth in the West standings but have gone just 5-5 in their last 10 games. What we’ve seen lately is more time for the starters as the bench ranks 28th in field goal percentage over the last 10 games. De’Aaron Fox is averaging 36.4 minutes per game during this game stretch and leads the team with a 30.1 usage percentage.

Averaging 27.4 points per game on the season, Fox gets a pace-up spot against Indiana, who rank second in pace. The Pacers rank 26th in defensive rating and have a few players questionable to play tonight, including Tyrese Haliburton, who is still on a minutes restriction. The Kings need a win this front leg of back-to-back as they play again tomorrow in Chicago. They have a tough stretch right before the All-Star break with three games in a row against Denver, Oklahoma City, and Phoenix.

These teams played two weeks ago, ending in a 121-126 loss for Sacramento. Fox played a team-high 40 minutes and led the Kings with 20 field goal attempts. He finished with 24 points. This is a get-right game for the Kings and for Fox, who I expect to come out aggressive driving to the hole. He’s struggled as of late, shooting just 20% from three-point range, so this is a good game to get back to his bread and butter in the paint. The Pacers allow the fewest three-point attempts in the NBA but the most points in the paint. Fox ranks 10th in the NBA with 15.5 drives per game.

Best PrizePicks NBA Player Prediction: De’Aaron Fox More Than 27.5 Points
