Best PrizePicks NBA Props: Brunson Surrounded By Too Many Ball Handlers to Go Over Assists Prop (October 19)

After a two-game appetizer on Tuesday night, The 2022-23 NBA season tips off for 24 teams on Wednesday night. With 12 games in play and good options all over the board, there are a few of spots that bettors take advantage of on PrizePicks. This article will look for some good value at the current prop lines on the site.

Best PrizePicks NBA Props | October 19

Tyrese Haliburton O/U 37.5 Fantasy Points

No longer playing second fiddle to De’Aaron Fox in Sacramento, Tyrese Haliburton is expected to lead the Pacers after Indiana traded Domantas Sabonis to the Kings to acquire him. While Haliburton admits that he wasn’t quite ready to be the guy in Sacramento, he fully acknowledges that he’s ready for that role now.

“Sacramento was great,” Haliburton said. “I wasn’t ready to be a full-time point guard when I got there. Playing with Fox helped. But now this is everything I ever wanted. I get to be the full-time guy. I love this.”

Matched up with the Wizards at home, he couldn’t ask to be in a better spot on opening night. Haliburton projects for 39.98 fantasy points, and his PrizePicks prop is more than 2 points under that. The over is the obvious play in what looks like one of the better spots of the night.

Kristaps Porzingis O/U 33.5 Fantasy Points

While the above over certainly looks really strong, Kristaps Porzingis looks even stronger. Matched up with Haliburton’s Pacers, Porzingis is projected for 39.12 fantasy points, almost 6 points higher than PrizePicks’ current line.

With the Wizards favored by 1 in a game with a 226.5 total, Porzingis projects for 20.27 points and 7.66 rebounds, to go along with a couple assists and a couple blocks. Even if he comes in a little bit below those numbers, Porzingis should still smash the over 33.5 here. He looks like arguably the top play on the entire board.

Jalen Brunson Under 5.0 Assists

After leaving Dallas to sign a lucrative deal with New York, Jalen Brunson gets his first chance to put on his hometown jersey when the Knicks meet Memphis on opening night.

Bursting onto the scene last year, Brunson helped Dallas reach the Western Conference Finals and cashed in with the Knicks to the tune of a four-year, $104 million deal. He is expected to play a huge role in leading New York back to respectability and should play a good number of minutes with the ball in his hands. With Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett already in the fold, however, there will be some growing pains as Brunson looks to integrate himself into a new system.

PrizePicks set his assists prop at 5.0, but Stokastic projections have Brunson at 3.83 assists tonight. Expect this number to go up as the season continues, but with Brunson in a completely new system with other guys that like to have the ball in their hands, his line on PrizePicks is a tad inflated.

Best PrizePicks Prop: Jalen Brunson UNDER 5.0 Assists
