Paul struggled in their series loss against the Mavericks that ended their season. He averaged 13 points per game along with four rebounds. We’re choosing to stay away from his assists due to him having lethal shooters around him and the successful pick-and-roll with Deandre Ayton. Cam Johnson will be inserted into the starting lineup now that Jae Crowder is no longer part of the team. Johnson is more than capable of scoring off the dribble and creating his shot, unlike Crowder.
The Mavericks will continue to play at a slow pace, especially with the loss of Jalen Brunson, who signed a four-year, $104 million contract in the offseason. Paul projects for 13 points and three rebounds in his season opener.
