DraftKings Pick6 Predictions Today: NBA Slate (March 8)

We thank Grayson Allen for preventing the reverse sweep last night. We hit Friday running in the NBA with eight games to find value. A depleted Cavs team hosts Minnesota in the early action, as the night is capped with the Bucks taking on the Lakers in LA. Let’s dive into the best DraftKings Pick6 predictions for today’s NBA action. Looking for more NBA pick’em advice? Check out the rest of our NBA articles or our NBA pick’em tools. Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian!

DraftKings Pick6 Predictions for Today’s NBA Slate

Tobias Harris M/L 29.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists

Tough days for Tobias Harris in Philadelphia. With the absence of Joel Embiid, and at time Tyrese Maxey, Harris has yet to take over stretches of games, let alone any handful of games. Tonight should be no different as the New Orleans Pelicans are in town, a far better team than the current makeup of the Sixers team. The number is already dropping at the books, so we get a small benefit of hindsight knowing 29.5 PRA still has some value.

Harris snapped a three game stretch of clearing this number with a typical dud against the Grizzlies. He’s been anything but a third star on this team, struggling to score in any consistent manner. The only thing that works against this “less” play is the potential volume Harris may see, but even that doesn’t help a guy who can’t make a shot.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Tobias Harris LESS Than 29.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists

Anfernee Simons M/L 4.5 Rebounds

The Blazers are in action late night hosting the Houston Rockets. It’s been a tight stretch for Anfernee Simons when it comes to clearing this rebound number. Most DKPick6 players will look at Simons clearing 5 rebounds in three of his last four games. They will pour on the over thinking he’s broken out of some rebounding slump.

Let’s attack the other side knowing there’s a bunch of volatility when it comes to Simons and his rebounds. A small sample size doesn’t truly represent the larger body of work. Between Houston’s tempo and their ability to clamp down on guards, Simons will be in a far better position to score over hitting the boards.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Anfernee Simons LESS Than 4.5 Rebounds

Jonas Valanciunas M/L 9.5 Rebounds

We head back to the Sixers-Pelicans game as the New Orleans big man will face an Embiid-less Sixers team. Don’t expect that to open the floodgates for a mass rebounding effort from Jonas Valanciunas. In fact, he’s shown some serious volatility in his rebounding numbers, falling far below this number at times – regardless of the matchups. He’s gone over the 9.5 rebound total in six of his last fourteen games, showing some spikes3 and at times comfortably below this total.

The Sixers are down a few of their top guys, and possibly Nic Batum up front, but they still make it tough against opposing centers. Valanciunas will struggle to get to 9 boards tonight, as there’s also a blowout potential lurking in South Philly. With a 221.5 total and 7.5 point spread, the Pelicans might get the benefit of some late rest.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Jonas Valanciunas LESS Than 9.5 Rebounds
