DraftKings Pick6 Predictions Today: Superstars Clinging to Life (May 2)

Two teams have earned the right to play at least one more game. The Bucks and 76ers each forced a Game 6 with wins on Tuesday night, but both still face elimination with a loss tonight. Milwaukee is the road team in their series against the Pacers, hoping to have both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard healthy, or at least present in uniform. The 76ers host the Knicks as New York is down to six players and a hobbled Mitchell Robinson. Here are the top plays for DraftKings Pick6 on Thursday, April 2!

Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian!

Tyrese Haliburton M/L Than 32.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

We open with a large number for Tyrese Haliburton despite these games predominantly going over the total and the Bucks possibly being healthy — or their version of it. With a return home, the Pacers should see an immediate bump in performance from Haliburton’s teammate Myles Turner. That shouldn’t immediately translate into assisted baskets from Haliburton, as Milwaukee will focus on pushing him to score more than facilitate.

We have exactly one game where Haliburton cleared this points + rebounds + assists total in the series, and other games he struggled to hit anywhere near it. While Milwaukee has its hands full trying to solve Turner, this matchup against Haliburton has been favorable for the Bucks despite being down overall. This seems like a great spot once again for Haliburton to hover around another triple-double, but recent history against this team would indicate otherwise. With 10 and eight total rebounds and assists in each of his last two games, we like the under here.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Tyrese Haliburton LESS Than 32.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Joel Embiid M/L Than 30.5 Points

Joel Embiid is clearly not 100%. He may not even be 50% at this point. Dealing with Bell’s palsy and a knee injury, Embiid has still hit 50 in this series against the Knicks. He’s cleared this number in just two of five games in this series, coming in back-to-back spurts. The past two games he fell short as he wilted in the fourth quarter, most likely a product of his body continuing to break down.

The Knicks have done OK against Embiid, forcing turnovers and some tough shots. Overall, the injuries to Embiid have left him with a big body to shoot 3’s. Most of those have been short, front rim since his 50-point explosion. It’s clear his legs are tired, and his knee is not providing the necessary lift for jumpers. With the emergence of superstar Tyrese Maxey and the dire need for a victory tonight, don’t be surprised to see Embiid stay below 31 points — even if it’s a sweat.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Joel Embiid LESS Than 30.5 Points

Miles McBride M/L Than 9.5 Points

This is simple math. The more minutes Miles McBride plays the more he scores, as he has eclipsed this number in nearly all of the games where he played 23-plus minutes. He steps up with every opportunity the Knicks give him, increasing the minutes we see him on the floor. The energy comes during a series where both teams are noticeably tired, and outside of Maxey, nobody buzzes around the floor more than McBride. It’s truly awesome to watch.

He’s covered this number in three of five games in this series but notably in back-to-back efforts. Be it in Philadelphia or Madison Square Garden, McBride has stepped up when called upon, with little doubt to think he won’t answer the bell again. In both games where he finished under the above points total, he was under 23 minutes. Guess what happened when that bumped to a minimum of 23? We go over once again.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Miles McBride MORE Than 9.5 Points
