Best Lakers-Suns Predictions & Odds

This line opened with Phoenix as -7-point home favorites and strong money is on the Suns moving the line to -10.0. The total opened at 229.5 and dropped 2.5 points to 227.  The Lakers are without Lebron James who will miss his fifth straight game with a thigh issue, while the Suns are without Chris Paul, who is nursing a heel injury and miss his seventh straight game.

Bettors should head to DraftKings Sportsbook to tail the following Lakers-Suns odds and predictions.

Suns continue strong start atop the West

The Suns started the season 6-1, but are just 4-5 over their last nine games. The injury to Chris Paul could be a factor, but Cameron Payne has stepped up in his absence with close to 20 points and 10 assists per game. The biggest reason is the schedule which has been unbalanced for many teams early on this season. The Suns played at home in their first seven out of nine games and have been on the road in five out of their last seven.

Phoenix is led by MVP candidate Devin Booker who is averaging 27.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks. Mikal Bridges continues to improve each season with 15.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals. The core of this Suns team averages 28 years old not including Chris Paul. The Suns are third in adjusted offensive rating, 11th in adjusted defensive rating, and third in overall adjusted rating.

The Suns have strong history against the Lakers winning seven in a row in the series, going 6-1 against the spread and 5-2 to the UNDER.

Lakers dealing with life without Lebron

The Lakers got off to a disastrous start going 0-5 and 2-10 after 12 games. They have won three in a row at home against the Nets, Pistons, and Spurs. But now they go on the road against a team that has beaten them in seven straight and without Lebron James. They are 28th in adjusted offensive rating, 10th in adjusted defensive rating, and 26th in overall adjusted net rating. Outside of Anthony Davis, the Lakers just don’t have the horses in the stable to compete with teams like the Suns.

Final Lakers-Suns Prediction & Pick

Even though this line has already moved three points in favor of the Suns from -7 to -10, this line still presents value on the Suns with LeBron out. The Suns are a much stronger team at home and have dominated the Lakers in recent matchups. The Suns get out to a big lead early and could end up resting starters in the fourth quarter.

Final Lakers-Suns Best Bet: Suns -10.5 (DraftKings -110)
