NBA Player Props PrizePicks for Dec. 27

James Harden over 30.5 Points + Assists

The Beard has looked phenomenal over the course of December so far. He’s averaging 33.7 points/assists per game this month and has a usage rate of 26.1%. He’s attempted 15.4 field goal attempts per game (including 8 three-point attempts) in 39.5 minutes per game. Harden has also had a ridiculous amount of assist opportunities this month as he’s averaged 18.7 potential assists per game. This line is simply too low for any top-tier player that is playing 39 minutes, attempting 15 shots, and creating over 33 points per game from his own assists.

The 76ers will square off against the Wizards tonight, who allow over 31 points/assists per game to point guards. Harden has seen this Washington team twice this season and has averaged 37 points/assists per game over those outings. The last time he faced them he recorded 34 points/assists in just 35 minutes, four less minutes than he’s averaged per game this month. Bettors should expect for Harden to keep improving with this offensive unit as the year goes on, and for the Wizards to have a tough time slowing The Beard down.

Pascal Siakam over 39.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

It’s been a season of highs and lows from Siakam because of injury, but he looks to be back and better than ever. So far in December, Siakam is averaging 42.8 points/rebounds/assists and is playing 38.1 minutes per game. He’s been attempting 20 field goal attempts per game (including 4.5 three-point attempts) and has been making his shots at a 48% clip. Head Coach Nick Nurse has absolutely no regard for his players’ health so “Spicy P” has played 41, 42, and 48 minutes in his last three outings.

While this probably isn’t good for Siakam’s long-term success, it certainly helps bettors in terms of this PRA line. Tonight the Raptors are set to face the Los Angeles Clippers who rank bottom-ten in fantasy points allowed to both power forwards and centers this season. They’ll likely have Kawhi Leonard back after he missed the first half of a back-to-back last game, but if anything that should just help keep this game competitive and allow Siakam to touch that 40+ minutes ceiling. Using the OddsShopper tools, bettors will find that this play is listed at -125 on both BetMGM and Caesars.
