Aaron Gordon H/L 16.5 Points
Following a 25-point performance and a win, the hype around Aaron Gordon is high.
But despite the buzz, his points prop is set at 16.5 — and Stokastic’s NBA DFS Projections have him finishing with just 15.8.
I’m expecting Gordon to come back down to earth a bit in terms of his scoring and like targeting the under in this spot. Let’s not forget — the Clippers finished the season 3rd in Points Allowed per 100 Possessions and 7th in Defensive Effective Field Goal Percentage.
With Jamal Murray working back into the mix and L.A. likely tightening up defensively in Game 2, I expect Gordon’s scoring to take a step back.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: Aaron Gordon Lower Than 16.5 Points
Jalen Duren H/L Than 11.5 Points
In the first meeting of this Eastern Conference series, Pistons big man Jalen Duren was held to just seven points. Tonight, his points prop is set at 11.5 — and I’m targeting the under.
Duren attempted only four shots in Game 1, though he did knock down three of them. Still, scoring has never been his strength, and I don’t expect that to change in a must-win playoff environment — especially with Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson patrolling the paint.
Let’s hit the under before this number adjusts as the series goes on.
