TCU vs. Georgia Most Bet Props: Bettors Riding Max Duggan, Horned Frogs

The College Football National Championship between Georgia and TCU gives bettors the ultimate opportunity to bet on a Cinderella, and they’re doing just that. Although very few gave TCU much chance to reach this stage, they’ve now been embraced by the masses, with quarterback Max Duggan giving gutsy performances throughout the season. The TCU-Georgia prop bets thus far show that bettors are going out on a limb to favor the underdogs.

Max Duggan Leads Most Bet Props For TCU-Georgia

According to BetMGM‘s John Ewing, the top three most bet props for the National Championship are on TCU to win by 1 to 6 points (+750), Max Duggan anytime touchdown (+125) and Kenny McIntosh to score the first touchdown (+650).

Although there were some question marks surrounding TCU’s quarterback situation coming into the college football season, Duggan has taken over and proven time and time again that he has an innate ability to pull through late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. This was the case once again when TCU took down Michigan 51-45 in an instant classic semifinal matchup. Duggan completed 14 of 29 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in that game. He also ran 15 times for 57 yards and two scores.

But he knows he’s going to have to be even sharper against Georgia’s stout defense on Monday night.

“We know what they will be like, and we know it will be a challenge with how good they are,” Duggan said, per Dawg Nation. “Something we have to do is execute at a higher level than we did against Michigan.

“We know if we don’t execute or have opportunities that we take, it’s going to be a long night.”

After allowing 41 points to Ohio State in the Peach Bowl, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart preached urgency when talking about his plan to limit Duggan and the TCU attack.

“We’ve got to start tomorrow,” Smart said after the Ohio State win, per 247 Sports. “We’ve got a short window. Can’t start when we get back home. We’ve got to sleep. We’ll get started tomorrow and jump back on. Luckily, we caught the late game, but we caught the late game an hour from home. I remember sitting at this point 2018, 2017, I don’t remember what year it was, but we had a long flight. We had a short week, a seven day week with a flight from Pasadena. We’ve got a little more time. I think it’s important to get healed. Our players have had a long season and a long week of practice this week. I want them to get away, remember what they’re fighting for, and come back rejuvenated and ready to go because this is what you do it for.”

The TCU-Georgia prop bets show bettors are confident in Duggan and the underdogs, but the Bulldogs have other plans than to allow a perfect ending to their unexpected season.
