The countdown is officially on: We’re under a month away from the 2025 college football season kickoff. That means it’s time to dive into one of the most exploitable preseason betting markets: College football futures. I have CFB win totals, conference champions and College Football Playoff odds already because the time to strike is now. With transfer portal shakeups, schedule advantages and market inefficiencies, you can lock in some serious value before a single snap is played.
Below are three early picks I’ve already placed on my 2025 CFB futures card for the SEC, ACC and Conference USA. Let’s get to it.

Conference USA Futures: Middle Tennessee State +1500 (FanDuel)
Yes, this is a greasy one, but I love this kind of volatility.
Conference USA is historically chaotic. Even if Liberty lives up to its top billing, you’re still just one upset away in the conference title game from hitting a big number. And Middle Tennessee State has the pieces to make that leap.
After a 3–9 season, this is Year 2 under head coach Derek Mason. They return a senior quarterback, an experienced offensive line and a defense that should improve. Most importantly, they don’t face Liberty during the regular season.
Their schedule sets up nicely, and Nov. 15 at Western Kentucky could decide their ticket to the title game. This is a classic longshot with real upside in one of the nation’s weakest conferences.
ACC Futures & Win Totals: Clemson Over 9.5 Wins (-170 DraftKings)
This number is moving fast and could easily close above -200. Clemson opens with a massive non-conference matchup against LSU, and a win there sets them up for a dominant season.
Even if they lose that game, the ACC schedule is more than manageable. Throw in two near-guaranteed wins against Troy and Furman, and double-digit victories become a strong probability.
With Cade Klubnik under center and a playoff-caliber defense, this team has national championship potential. If you’re betting college football win totals, Clemson is one of the strongest overs on the board.
SEC Futures & Win Totals: Oklahoma Over 6.5 Wins (-170 DK), +550 to Make Playoff
Oklahoma had a disappointing 6–7 finish last season, but that doesn’t tell the whole story. They were crushed by injuries, especially on offense. This year, they bring in a dynamic quarterback transfer from Washington State, and the defense looks fast and physical.
Yes, the SEC schedule is brutal. But Oklahoma opens with three easy wins (Illinois State, Temple, Kent State) and could be 5–0 heading into the Red River Showdown with Texas. I’m buying low on Oklahoma’s future.
At just +550 to make the playoff, there’s a path if they stay healthy and pull a couple upsets. It’s aggressive, but the upside is there.
