Josh Jacobs Injury News: Brandon Bolden, Zamir White, Ameer Abdullah Fantasy Rankings & Analysis vs. Titans

The Las Vegas Raiders may not have the services of veteran running back Josh Jacobs when they take on the Tennessee Titans for Week 3.

On Sunday morning ESPN reported that Jacobs flew with the team, but is dealing with an illness that may keep him out of the action on Sunday. But there’s “optimism” that he’ll be ready to play.

Does that make any Brandon Bolden, Ameer Abdullah or Zamir White viable fantasy options on Sunday?

Josh Jacobs & Brandon Bolden Fantasy Football Ranking

Per our Stokastic NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings, Jacobs is currently ranked as the No. 14 running back if he’s able to play against the Titans, but if he’s unable to play, the bulk of the work load will fall on backup running backs Brandon Bolden and Zamir White.

Through two weeks, Jacobs has taken most of the offensive snaps (60% in Week 1 and 72% in Week 2), and it’s not currently clear who would take on a larger role between Bolden and White if Jacobs doesn’t play on Sunday.

The Raiders are 2-point favorites on the road, for those trying to predict the game script.

After being selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, Jacobs reached the 1,000 yard mark in his first two seasons, but had a bit of a down year in the Raiders’ pass-heavy offense in 2021. He ran the ball 217 times for 872 yards and nine touchdowns.

Through the first two weeks of the NFL season, Jacobs has ran for just 126 yards, and has still not found the end zone on the year. He also has just two receptions for 28 yards.

Bolden is officially listed as the backup on the depth chart, followed by Abdullah and White.

Still, Jacobs is far and away the most productive running back on the Raiders rosters and is a must-start if he plays.

If Jacobs does sit and you’re wondering about two other running backs to start, our NFL DFS Player Compare tool is a great option to answer those last-minute questions.
