Christian Watson has officially arrived for the Green Bay Packers. While the season hasn’t gone according to plan for Green Bay, the rookie has developed a rapport with elite quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and appears to be a rising star in the league. After scoring touchdowns in four consecutive games, bettors are all over Christian Watson ahead of the MNF matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Christian Watson Props Popular For MNF
Per BetMGM’s John Ewing, Christian Watson to score a touchdown (+110) is the second most bet prop on the board, and the most bet touchdown prop ahead of MNF.
Watson got off to a slow start to the 2022 campaign, failing to get to the four reception mark until Week 10. But he has come on strong, and his skill-set makes him an especially valuable weapon for Aaron Rodgers in the red zone. All of Watson’s seven touchdowns have come in the past four games.
“It’s been a rapid, wild development,” Rodgers said of Watson, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN via ClutchPoints. “It’s hard to think about someone who goes from being kind of here-or-there, minimal-production to a home-run player.”
Watson struggled with some drops earlier in the season, but make no mistake, the talent level is most definitely there. And the Packers seem to know they could have something special brewing with the wideout.
“Yeah, 12 and Matt both said early, ‘We’re going to come back to you,'” Watson said of his struggles. “And I mean, obviously, that hit me at home. I know that those are plays I can make. Those are plays that I make every day at practice and something I know I’m capable of. So, obviously, just having that to fall back on, knowing that we’re still in it, we’re still good, they’ve still got faith in me means the world.”
Although the Packers (5-8) are on the verge of being eliminated from postseason contention, they will have a few positives for their future. But nothing about this season for Green Bay has been more exciting than the progression of Christian Watson.
