Week 9 of the NFL season has begun, but there’s nothing like a full Sunday slate. This week, we are blessed with an extra island game between the Dolphins and the Chiefs from Frankfurt, Germany, as the NFL continues to try and expand globally. The game kicks off at 6:30 AM Eastern Time and has the highest total of the week at 50.5 points, with the Chiefs favored by one point. The main slate consists of 10 games this week, highlighted by the Cowboys visiting the Eagles, with a 46.5-point total. Let’s discuss the best Week 9 NFL PrizePicks plays.

NFL PrizePicks Predictions for Week 9
Alvin Kamara, Saints, More/Less Than 18.0 Fantasy Score
After missing the first four games due to suspension, Alvin Kamara has returned to pristine form in October, averaging a 22.8 fantasy score in five games. Kamara ranks ninth in the NFL in receptions over the past five games. He is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry, but the volume he’s getting in the passing game is unmatched for running backs. His 44 targets and 39 receptions rank first, ahead of Christian McCaffrey, who’s played three more games than Kamara.
The Saints and Kamara get a favorable matchup on Sunday against the Bears and their 30th-ranked defense. Specifically, the Bears have allowed the most receiving yards (497) and receiving touchdowns (5) to running backs, playing to Kamara’s strengths. They are allowing 25.5 fantasy points per game to the running back position, while Stokastic projects Kamara for a 20.2 fantasy score. The Saints are 8-point favorites with a game total of 41.
NFL PrizePicks Play: Alvin Kamara More Than 18 Fantasy Score
Jonathan Taylor, Colts, More/Less Than 66.5 Rushing Yards
After sitting out the first four games of the season, Taylor was eased back into things, getting just six and eight carries in his first two games. However, in week 17, Taylor carried the ball 18 times. Last week, he had 12 carries compared to Zach Moss’ 11, but he outsnapped Moss 43-28. We could continue to see split carries with Moss, but considering the snap differential, I think this is Taylor’s job moving forward. The good news is that even if Taylor splits some carries with Moss, the matchup is so good this week that they could both go over their props.
The Colts are 2-point favorites over the Carolina Panthers and their 32nd-ranked defense. The Panthers are allowing 32.4 fantasy points per game to running backs, the second most in the NFL. They have allowed 888 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns in just seven games, both ranking in the bottom three in the NFL. According to PFF, the Panthers are the second-worst tackling team in the NFL, which sets up nicely for Taylor, who ranks third in the NFL with 3.95 rushing yards after contact.
NFL PrizePicks Play: Jonathan Taylor More Than 66.5 Rushing Yards
Jerome Ford, Browns, More/Less Than 41.5 Rushing Yards
The Browns are 10-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals, who have not announced a starting quarterback yet after trading Joshua Dobbs to the Vikings. The Browns’ offensive line has a 23% run advantage over the Cardinals’ defensive line, according to PFF, which ranks third best for Week 9. The Cardinals have allowed the sixth-most rushing yards to running backs this season.
Ford split carries with Pierre Strong and Kareem Hunt as he worked his way back from a Week 7 ankle injury; however, he practiced fully on Friday, and assuming he’s at full strength, he should be the lead back in this favorable matchup. Ford is averaging 4.4 yards per carry this season. Stokastic’s NFL Bet Pro tool has Ford projected for 68.4 rushing yards, and I agree more is the play here.
