NFL TNF Props and Odds No House Advantage: Christian McCaffrey Primed for Big Night

Thursday Night Football will come with playoff implications in Week 15 when the Seattle Seahawks take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Seahawks are not only fighting for a Wild Card spot in the NFC, but they are two games behind the 49ers in the NFC West. To add to the excitement with this matchup is another opportunity to play on No House Advantage. There are two types of contests to play, “Pick ‘Em” and “Vs The House.” Let’s try to help narrow down the field by highlighting some of the best TNF NFL props to target. Also, check out our NFL Player Props Tool to help you make all of your selections.

NFL TNF Props and Odds: No House Advantage

Christian McCaffrey: Over 71.5 Rushing Yards

McCaffrey had a difficult matchup against the Buccaneers last week, but that didn’t stop him from turning 14 carries into 119 yards and a touchdown. It was his best rushing performance since joining the 49ers and it marked his third game of the season with at least 100 rushing yards. He could have had even more carries, but with the 49ers up big in the second half, they were able to give him some added time on the sidelines to rest up for the short week.

The stars could be aligning for another big stat line from McCaffrey. The Seahawks haven’t been able to slow down opposing running backs, allowing the second-most rushing yards per game in the league. With Jordan Mason and Tyrion Davis-Price serving as his primary backups, McCaffrey has the potential for a hefty workload. The NFL Player Props Tool has projected McCaffrey to rush for 94.8 yards.

Brock Purdy: Over 145.5 Passing Yards

Already down Trey Lance (ankle) and Jimmy Garoppolo (foot), the 49ers have been forced to turn to Purdy as their starting quarterback. The rookie seventh-round pick played well in relief of Garoppolo in Week 13, throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns against the Dolphins. He followed that up by throwing for 185 yards and two touchdowns last week.

Purdy didn’t escape his matchup with the Buccaneers unscathed, although he is expected to play through his oblique injury that had him entering the day Thursday as being questionable on the injury report. The Seahawks are allowing an average of 218.2 passing yards per game, making this a low total for Purdy to hit.

Brandon Aiyuk: Over 3.5 Receptions

In a season filled with injuries, the 49ers lost yet another player on offense last week in Deebo Samuel (knee). He won’t take the field in Week 15, although the 49ers do expect him to play again at some point during the regular season. With him out, Aiyuk will step in as the team’s top wide receiver. Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud are the top options behind him, so expect the 49ers to rely heavily on Aiyuk and tight end George Kittle moving forward.

In terms of this prop, Aiyuk has at least four receptions in eight of 13 games this season. Over the last eight games, he has caught 41 of 59 targets. Even if the 49ers try to rely heavily on their ground game in this matchup, Aiyuk’s target share should help him reach the over.

Geno Smith: Over 0.5 Interceptions

The Seahawks wouldn’t be fighting for a playoff spot without Smith. He has exceeded the expectations that came with replacing Russell Wilson, throwing for 3,433 yards and 25 touchdowns over 13 games. He also showed an ability to limit turnovers, throwing just two interceptions through his first eight games.

As good as Smith was early on, turnovers have plagued him of late. He has thrown at least one interception in four of the last five games, which included him being picked off twice by the Panthers in Week 14. When he faced the 49ers in Week 2, he did throw an interception. The 49ers are tied for the second-most interceptions (14) in the league, making the over an appealing option.
