Gainwell has been more leaned on as the year has gone on. Playing in over 35% of offensive snaps in each of the two playoff wins, Gainwell has combined for 160 yards on 26 carries, adding a touchdown. You could make an argument that Gainwell’s production has made him the biggest stand-out on the Eagle’s offense in the postseason, and they’ll likely need another big performance from the tailback on Sunday if they’re going to be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
Sanders has been the Eagles’ featured back this season but has been playing fewer snaps in the playoffs due to the hot-hand approach. Sanders participated in just 40% and 30% of the team’s offensive snaps in the first two rounds of the playoffs, with the running back netting 132 yards and two touchdowns.
