Anytime Touchdown Bet: Kenneth Gainwell (+430)

Despite Miles Sanders being listed as the favored option at -115 across most sportsbooks, this is a misperception that the bookmakers are hoping to exploit. During the playoffs this season, Gainwell (who was initially serving as a backup) outperformed Sanders in the red zone ,with seven rushes to Sanders’ five. Interestingly, Sanders has recorded two touchdowns, while Gainwell has yet to score. In terms of total touches, both players are tied at 29, but in the conference championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, Gainwell surpassed Sanders by four. Additionally, Gainwell has also outperformed Sanders by 5% in the playoffs this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ primary weakness lies in their run defense, particularly their defensive line. Tackle Derrick Nnadi ranks 119th out of 142 defensive linemen in run defense, while defensive end George Karlaftis performed similarly poorly at 113th out of 119 defensive ends. Furthermore, the run defense struggles extend to the linebackers, with Willie Gay Jr. ranking 66th out of 85 linebackers in stopping the run. The safeties, while strong in coverage, are not effective against the run. Juan Thornhill ranks 51st out of 82 safeties, and Justin Reid ranks 52nd out of 82.

Considering the Philadelphia Eagles‘ superior offensive line and Sanders’ favoritism to reach the end zone, keep a close eye on Gainwell’s potential to shine in the Super Bowl. The odds present a valuable opportunity to capitalize on Gainwell’s exceptional performance in the playoffs, out-snapping Sanders thus far.

A sprinkle on Gainwell being the first-touchdown scorer is also very intriguing. Bettors should head to FanDuel for the best deal on the market. New FanDuel users get a no sweat first-bet up to $3,000 for the Super Bowl.
