Best NHL Parlay Bet Tonight | December 3

Vegas Golden Knights at Detroit Red Wings

The Atlantic Division’s Detroit Red Wings host the Pacific Division’s Vegas Golden Knights in what should be an entertaining affair. Prone to fast starts, the first period over has hit in each of Vegas’ last five games and in eight of Detroit’s last 11.

These trends should continue in a matchup that features one of the most efficient offenses in hockey. At 5v5, the Golden Knights rank fourth in the league in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60).

This offense could be in store for a big day as goaltender Ville Husso is slated to take the crease for the Red Wings. While Husso’s tenure in Detroit started on an excellent note, he has been extremely leaky recently.

In his last start against the Toronto Maple Leafs, he got pulled after allowing four goals on just 13 shots for a .692 save percentage. Prior to that start, he allowed three goals on 24 shots for a .875 save percentage against the lowly Arizona Coyotes.

Regression for Husso is not shocking given his underlying metrics this season. Among starting goaltenders, he ranks just 23rd in goals saved above expected per 60 minutes (GSAx/60) at 5v5.

This regression should continue against Vegas, a team Husso has struggled mightily against throughout his career. Over four career outings against the Golden Knights, Husso is 0-4 with a .845 save percentage and 5.33 GAA.

The first period over hit in three of those four outings. While the Golden Knights have a strong defense and goaltender, they might put up at least two goals themselves in the first period, making the over a good play – especially if Detroit can score once as well.

Best NHL Parlay Bet: First Period Over 1.5 (-150)

Toronto Maple Leafs at Tampa Bay Lightning

There is an Atlantic Division tilt with the third-place Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the second-place Toronto Maple Leafs. Even though the Maple Leafs are expected to go against goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, their team total at 2.5 is set too low for their firepower.

Star winger Mitch Marner just tied their franchise record on Wednesday by recording a point in his 18th consecutive game. Meanwhile, superstar centerman Auston Matthews certainly needs no introduction as the reigning Hart Trophy winner.

While these two will have their hands full trying to score against Vasilevskiy, It is certainly not impossible as he has allowed three or more goals in four of his last seven starts against Toronto. Despite possessing a bunch of individually terrific pieces defensively, the Lightning blue line has had some issues through the first quarter of the season.

At 5v5, Tampa Bay ranks just 20th in the league in xGA/60. Meanwhile, Toronto ranks 13th in the league in xGF/60 at 5v5.

The Leafs have scored three or more goals in seven of their last 10 games, while the Bolts have allowed three or more in 11 0f their last 15. It is not too often you get to bet on Toronto to score at least three goals with the juice south of fifty cents, which is the best bet to take here despite going against Vasilevskiy.

Best NHL Parlay Bet: Maple Leafs Team Total Over 2.5 (-145)
