The Bruins (49-9-5) have excited Bostonians all season long by dominating their competition, becoming the first team to reach 100 points last week. However, they squandered a late lead against the Edmonton Oilers before losing 3-2 in their last game on Thursday night.

“It’s in the third where we got back on our heels and didn’t play our game and they took it to us,” Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron said after the game, per Boston Hockey Now. “I thought the first 40 wasn’t perfect, but we still had some good control of the game and we’re up by one and I think that’s where we’ve had success all year. Obviously, we’re not happy with that third, but we’ve got to learn from that. I thought we got on our heels and we didn’t deny their speed and they took it to us.”

Still, the Oilers loss will be a little easier for the Bruins to stomach given how well they have been playing throughout the second half of the season. The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak, as they will now look to begin another streak beginning with the Original Six matchup against the Red Wings on Saturday.

Those Massachusetts bettors looking for the best Bruins-Red Wings bets should look no further than DraftKings Sportsbook, where they can easily win on this promo.
