No House Advantage World Cup Player Props

Ivan Perisic Over 1.5 Total Shots

The first World Cup player prop is in favor of Ivan Perisic mustering up at least two shots for Croatia against Brazil. The Tottenham forward is arguably Croatia’s most lively attacker and is probably its only hope of scoring a goal against a tough back line.

Perisic has attempted 10 shots at the 2022 World Cup, giving him a shots per 90 ratio of 2.44. This is a major improvement from his 1.20 shots per 90 average across the entire year.

While Brazil has conceded inly 6.5 shots per game in Qatar, it is not immune to being broken down. Croatia will give it a tough match and should stay close for the majority of regular time.

When Croatia does get chances, favor their players down the wing rather than down the middle. Perisic is a player with shooting range and is simply the most likely to test Alisson. On top of that, these knockout games can get frantic toward the end. That favors the over on total shots for a lot of underdog attackers.

Marquinhos Over 78.5 Passes

Another World Cup player prop is for Marquinhos to attempt more than 78.5 passes for Brazil. The PSG defender has led Brazil in pass attempts at the World Cup, and has surpassed this prop total on two of his three full-nineties. He has averaged 85 passes per 90 minutes, a solid improvement on his 68.8 pass attempts per 90 over the past year.

Croatia will be a difficult side to break down. Looking at Brazil’s last match against European opposition, a 1-0 victory against Switzerland in Matchday 2, who led the passing effort? It was Marquinhos with 106 passes out of the back. When Brazil turns the screw, it does it from its defense.

Croatia’s midfield is way too dominant with Luca Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic. The Brazil midfield will be suffocated at times by their defensive work and inevitably will push the ball back for relief. Marquinhos’s passing efforts will be boosted by this, which is why the prop hits.

Julian Alvarez Over 0.5 Shots on Goal

The final World Cup No House Advantage player prop features Julian Alvarez to get at least one shot on goal for Argentina against the Netherlands. Alvarez has started the past two games and will surely get another runout in the quarterfinal.

The Manchester City forward has two goals and eight total shots so far, with five on frame. This gives him a shots on target per 90 ratio of 2.16, the best mark on the Argentina squad, even above Lionel Messi. Better yet, his SoT% is 62.5%, which is also the best mark for players with three or more shots. Thus, Alvarez does not need many attempts to make a difference.

The Netherlands did concede multiple opportunities on the defensive front against the United States. See Alvarez continuing to make a difference for the Albicelestes by at least getting a shot on target.
