Best YRFI & NRFI Picks Today: The Winning Bet for Astros-Rangers (October 18)

BANG! Forget the no run first inning bet, we cashed that Diamondbacks-Phillies YRFI with absolutely no doubt. Hugs and hand pounds to Trea Turner for launching that homer. My friends, it was always the YRFI, and we were all over that like honey on a hot biscuit!

It’s Game 3 for Astros-Rangers tonight, and we’re firing up another yes/no run first inning pick. As always, hit me with a follow on Twitter, I want to see your winning screenshots so I can retweet them, and you can brag about how rich you are to your friends.

Best YRFI & NRFI Bets Today: Yes & No Run First Inning Bets

Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers First Inning Bet

This Astros-Rangers game is, what I believe, is one of the only — if not THE only — game to open at 9.0 or more in the playoffs this year. And you already KNOW what that means! Insert Kool-Aid Man “Oh, YEAH!” here.

The Rangers are letting Max Scherzer, who hasn’t pitched since Sept. 12, start tonight. I’m not really #NarrativeGuy, but I’m willing to take a stroll down Narrative Street tonight. He’s coming off a “teres major strain,” which is basically just a fancy way of saying a back/shoulder muscle injury. Scherzer has faced the Astros twice this year and is 1-1 on NRFIs. In his most recent start against Houston, our guy got Molly Wopped for seven earned runs in three innings, where he gave up six hits and ***three*** dongs! Yordan Alvarez, Michael Brantley and Jose Abreu all took him deep in that start on Sept. 6. The Astros offense has been sputtering, but this could be the elixir they need to get it poppin’ with their backs against the wall.

Well, it’s Cristian Javier day for the Astros, which usually means good things for NRFI bettors (24-8 this year). But as the old cliche goes, all good things must come to an end. Make way, my friend, it’s incoming. Javier spun a gem in his last outing against the Twins and looked sharp as a tack. But with all due respect to Eric Lindquist, that Twins offense … ain’t it. This Rangers offense is a totally different beast that can rip off your extremities and beat you over the head with them in about 0.2 seconds. In fact, that’s exactly what happened to Javier in his lone start against Texas this year: 4.1 innings, nine hits, eight earned runs and two homers. He’s given up seven homers to the Rangers in his career, including a pair to Corey Seager. And if you’re into playing pitcher out props and are fiending for a parlay, I found Javier UNDER 12.5 outs for +115 at bet365. It’s the only book offering such a great line, and that’s the ONLY place I recommend betting it.

It’s full-on YRFI szn in this one. Fire it up.
