Sandy Alcantara H/L Than 4.5 Strikeouts
The former Cy Young winner hasn’t lived up to that billing in 2025, posting a 7.89 ERA and 1.58 WHIP through 12 starts. Still, he’s managed a few solid outings – and another could be coming.
He’ll face the Pirates, the same team he debuted against this season, tossing 4.2 innings with 7 strikeouts and just 2 hits allowed. Despite his overall struggles, we’re getting a discounted strikeout prop and there’s value in jumping on it.
Pittsburgh continues to whiff at a high clip, striking out 22% of the time vs. righties (19th in MLB). With this soft matchup and a low number to beat, let’s back the veteran to rack up Ks once again.
Underdog Fantasy Pick’em Prediction: Sandy Alcantara Higher Than 4.5 Strikeouts

The Phillies right-hander will make his third career start, this time against the Cubs.
He dazzled in his debut, throwing a scoreless outing with 9 strikeouts, then followed it up with 5.1 innings of 1-run ball in Toronto, though he managed just 2 Ks. It feels like sportsbooks aren’t quite sure how to price his props yet, creating an opportunity to take advantage of a potential over-adjustment.
That said, the Cubs have been strong offensively and rank 8th in K-rate vs. righties (20.5%), so this isn’t a pushover spot.
