While that isn’t the case for some teams — the Boston Celtics have locked up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, for instance, it’s certainly the case for most. Let’s dive into the NBA parlay picks for this slate — we’re focusing on players for the Celtics and Memphis Grizzlies, including Jrue Holiday, as neither of their teams has anything left to play for in the regular season. With so little to play for — and today’s matchup coming against a team that also has nothing to play for — we’re fading Jrue Holiday.
While Boston’s injury reports are bound to be somewhat chaotic as they gear up for a deep playoff run, Holiday hasn’t received an injury designation. Only Jaylen Brown (questionable), Kristaps Porzingis (questionable) and Jaden Springer (questionable) have.
Holiday is trading at odds of -110 to stay under 12.5 points today at BetMGM. Meanwhile, Pinnacle, a sharp book, has this exact wager trading for odds of -140. We’re beating the market massively with this one, which is why it’s a featured leg in today’s NBA parlay.
Leg #2: Luke Kennard u4.5 AST
Like the Celtics, the 24-50 Memphis Grizzlies have nothing to play for this year. They’ll take on the similarly eliminated Detroit Pistons today in a good spot for us to fade Luke Kennard.
Kennard is averaging only 4.3 assists per game since the All-Star Break, clearing the over in half of his appearances. With Desmond Bane (out), he has plenty of ball-handling to do, but Scotty Pippen Jr. has been picking up more of the slack lately.
Again, the -130 at BetMGM is a more generous price than what the other books are offering. This bet is trading for -155 at Pinnacle and -140 or worse at almost every other public book.
