Best NBA Props Today | December 6

Jamal Murray Prop: O/U 3.5 Rebounds

Jamal Murray currently holds a rebounding prop of 3.5 and in tonight’s matchup against Dallas, the over carries some value.  Murray is averaging close to 32 minutes per game over his last ten which is up by almost a full two minutes since the beginning of the season.  With Murray getting back into playing shape he is seeing a consistently bigger role as the season progresses and in an expectedly close contest tonight, Murray will need to be involved.  Through 19 games this season, Murray has surpassed 3.5 rebounds in 11 of them. 11/19 may not jump off the page but when you combine the minutes restriction, he started the season with and his increase in usage over the last few weeks, Murray is in a spot to get to four rebounds tonight.

Murray will have a matchup with Luka Doncic tonight and although Luka will present a great challenge for the Nuggets defense, it could result in Murray being more involved in the game.  If Murray gets to 30 minutes in this one, he will have enough rebounding opportunities to surpass 3.5.  As mentioned above, it is important to check in on OddsShopper to find the best line for this bet.  The lines range from -135 to -180 and for this bet to be valuable you want to lock it in at -140 or better odds.  We usually shy away from -135 juice but given the small slate and the potential of Murray in this matchup, -135 was worth a play in this spot.  OddsShopper gives Murray a 60% chance to surpass this number which would include a 5% ROI at -135 odds.

Best NBA Player Prop Bet: Jamal Murray OVER 3.5 Rebounds (-135)

Tyler Herro Prop: O/U 2.5 3’s Made

The Miami Heat are at home playing host to the Detroit Pistons in a game that has them favored by 8.5-points.  Tyler Herro is a guy to target in this spot, especially his three’s made prop.  Shooters can get hot and in his last two, Herro is averaging 24.5 points per game which has seen him hit three and six threes’.  What is more important here is the three’s attempted.  Herro has attempted double digit threes in six of his last seven games, which includes the last two in a row.  Although it does not mean much, Herro surpassed this number in every matchup against the Pistons a season ago and this year’s Pistons team is currently in the middle of the pack in defending the three.

Herro is averaging 38.9 minutes per game over his last five contests and even though these minutes are very high, if he can get over 35 minutes again tonight, he is going to once again be in a great spot to get up plenty of three-point attempts.  This line features -113 odds to the over and at -113, the value is strong enough to make this a bet on a small slate.  Herro is beginning to show similar form to last season when he was crowned sixth man of the year and if we get that Herro against an inferior Pistons team, this bet will be in a great position to hit.  Jimmy Butler is out tonight for the Heat which will positively influence Herro and his usage rates.  Herro has many things going for him in this matchup and because of his recent coring success and potential to get and stay hot, taking a chance on his over 2.5 3’s made is a great bet tonight.
