Lamar Jackson Injury News: Ravens vs. Steelers Betting Line Moves Following Latest Report

It appears that the Baltimore Ravens will be without quarterback Lamar Jackson for their rivalry game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 14. After leaving last Sunday’s game with the Denver Broncos with a knee injury, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Jackson suffered a sprained PCL, which usually carries a recovery period of 1-3 weeks. Lamar Jackson‘s injury has impacted the Ravens-Steelers betting line, shifting in the Steelers’ favor.

Ravens-Steelers Betting Line Shifts Following Lamar Jackson News

Per DraftKings:

  • Spread: Ravens +2.5 (-105), Steelers -2.5 (-115)
  • Moneyline: Ravens +130, Steelers -150
  • Total: Over 37 (-110), Under 37 (-110)

With Lamar Jackson likely out with the knee issue, the betting line has been drastically changed. The Ravens opened as two-point favorites over the Steelers, with the over/under set at 41.

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will now be thrusted into duty after his relief appearance against the Broncos last Sunday. In that game, Huntley proved to be a serviceable replacement, completing 27 of 32 passes for 187 yards and an interception. Down 9-3 late, Huntley led a game-winning touchdown drives capped by his designed-run into the end zone by the speedy QB.

Prior to the season, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh expressed his confidence that Huntley has what it takes to be a starting quarterback in the league.

“I definitely believe that. There’s no question in my mind about that. I’m glad we have him. We’re very, very blessed to have him as one of our players, one of our quarterbacks,” Harbaugh said via PFT.

Harbaugh has stated throughout the week that he doesn’t believe Lamar Jackson‘s injury will not prove to be a season-ender. But expect them to be extra cautious with the star QB.

The Ravens (8-4) remain atop the AFC North, but after the Cincinnati Bengals‘ win over the Kansas City Chiefs, they have the exact same record as the Ravens, in what figures to be a two-horse race to the finish for the divisional crown.
