PrizePicks NBA Props: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Brings the Heat to D.C.

The 2022 NBA season rolls on tonight with 10 games on the schedule. With players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Clint Capela looking to keep their hot streaks going, bettors can check out the best NBA bets to make over on PrizePicks, along with some analysis for each pick.

Best PrizePicks NBA Props Tonight

Clint Capela Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds

Over the past week, Capela has really elevated his game. He’s averaged 32.5 points + rebounds over his last four games and those games came against some true competitors in the Bucks, Jazz and 76ers. The Hawks starting center has been playing close to 30 minutes per game as of late, which is extremely promising, especially considering the recent stretches of his career where he’s played limited minutes or has gotten into consistent foul trouble. Tonight, Capela will match up against the Celtics, who haven’t been great against centers this year without Rob Williams in the lineup. Boston is allowing the third-most rebounds per game to opposing centers this season, while also giving up 22 points per game to the position. Just last game, the Celtics allowed the Thunder’s Aleksej Pokusevski to record 30 points + rebounds.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 28.5 Points

Gilgeous-Alexander has had quite the season thus far, averaging 31.5 points per game as the star player in Oklahoma City. He is putting up nearly 22 field goal attempts per game on the year, including three shots per game from beyond the arc. He is playing 36 minutes per game and his usage percentage of 32.4% is by far the highest of any Thunder player. He’s played 14 games this year and has had over 29 points in nine of them. In one of the games he didn’t, he finished with 28 points but played two minutes less than his season average of 36 minutes per game. Tonight, Gilgeous-Alexander will face off with the Washington Wizards, a team that is allowing 29.5 points per game to guards this year. Using the OddsShopper tool, bettors will find that the odds for this prop are listed at -130 over on DraftKings.
