Tony Pollard vs. Ezekiel Elliott: Who Has More Fantasy Football, DFS Value in Week 11?

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard has outperformed veteran Ezekiel Elliott this season, but was really able to excel with Elliott out due to injury for the past two weeks. With reports indicating that they’ll both be active on Sunday, let’s take a look at Ezekiel ElliottTony Pollard fantasy football & DFS ranking.

Ezekiel ElliottTony Pollard Fantasy Football & DFS Ranking

Per Stokastic’s weekly running back rankings, Ezekiel Elliott (No. 18) ranks slightly ahead of Tony Pollard (No. 21 on the board) for Week 11. But using Stokastic’s player compare tool, it’s Pollard who projects at 14.97 fantasy points, compared to just 8.90 for Elliott.

With Stokastic’s expert DFS projections, it’s Elliot ($6,000) who we see with more value than Pollard ($6,500). But neither is considered an overly strong play in Week 11.

It’s no secret that Pollard has been the more impressive runner this season, with 6.0 yards per carry compared to Elliott’s 4.1. But Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has still been incredibly persistent that Elliott is “the guy.”

“There’s no argument,” Jones said via PFT. “Zeke’s ability to punish, Zeke’s ability to deliver, Zeke’s ability, what he does for us in pass protection, and, frankly, Zeke’s ability to make big plays are there, and we’re going to go where Zeke goes. He’s that integral to our success.”

On Sunday, Elliott and Pollard will be focal points of the game plan in the critical game against the 8-1 Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been especially stingy against the run this season, allowing the eight-least fantasy football points against opposing running backs. They haven’t allowed 100 yards rushing in the past six games.

Elliott and Pollard will have their work cut out for them and will split duties, meaning either will be a risky play in fantasy football or DFS.
