Jets Receive Major Breece Hall Injury Update That Rocks New York’s Foundation

Through the first seven weeks of the NFL season, New York Jets running back Breece Hall has turned into a true rising star and fan-favorite. But now, it’ll be a while before we see him on the football field next. On Monday, the most recent Breece Hall injury update dropped.

After being carted off the field during the Week 7 win over the Denver Broncos, Adam Schefter reported on Monday that Hall has suffered a torn ACL, and will miss the remainder of his rookie season.

Before the injury, Hall had won over the starting running back job for the Jets, running 80 times for 463 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. He also added 19 receptions for 218 yards.

Hall had 73 rushing yards and one touchdown on Sunday before exiting.

“Appreciate the endless love and support! Another step along the journey, see y’all soon,” the Jets back tweeted out following the Breece Hall injury update on Monday.

New York will now lean on running backs Michael Carter and Ty Johnson in the absence of Breece Hall. Carter, a second year pro, came into the season as the starter and will likely regain his role now. He has 228 yards and two touchdowns with just 3.5 yards per carry on the season. Last season, Carter ran for 639 yards and four touchdowns, adding 39 receptions for 325 yards.

Johnson will now be inserted more heavily into the Jets’ run-heavy offense. He has just one rush and two receptions for far in 2022.

The Jets (5-2) have surprisingly competed in the AFC East through seven weeks of the season, but will surely feel the loss of a player of Breece Hall’s caliber.

We’re all hoping for a speedy recovery.
