Fantasy Football Week 7 Fill-Ins for Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts

Fantasy football owners will be left scrambling to find replacements this week with quarterbacks Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts each on his bye week, but perhaps there’s some valuable options on the waiver wire.

Ahead of NFL Week 7, let’s take a look at Marcus Mariota and Daniel Jones as possible fill-ins.

QB Waiver Wire Options For Fantasy Football Week 7

Throughout the season, Mariota has been a constant hot name on the fantasy football waiver wire, but the Atlanta Falcons QB is rostered in 14.4% of ESPN leagues ahead of a Week 7 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Per our Stokastic NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 7, Mariota is the 13th quarterback on the board. The Bengals have been relatively stingy in recent weeks and haven’t allowed more than one passing touchdown by an opposing quarterback all season.

Mariota’s prowess as a runner means he could be poised to break out any given week, as he did against a strong San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 6. In a 28-14 upset win, Mariota completed 13 of 14 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns, and added 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Another potential waiver wire pickup is Jones, the New York Giants QB. With head coach Brian Daboll simplifying the playbook, Jones has been steady and has a rather favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7.

Jones is ranked as the 14th best fantasy option for Week 7 and is 15th among all qualified QBs through six weeks.
