Best NHL Parlay Bet Tonight | Nov. 27

Vancouver’s Offense Stays Hot

There is a Pacific Division game, with the seventh-place San Jose Sharks hosting the sixth-place Vancouver Canucks. Vancouver’s offense has been clicking on all cylinders recently, posting four or more goals in five straight games.

Meanwhile, the Sharks have surrendered four or more goals in nine of their last 13 games. These two trends should continue, as goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen is slated to take the crease for San Jose.

Through eight starts this season, Kahkonen is 2-5-1 with a .877 save percentage and 3.80 goals against average (GAA). If he qualified, Kahkonen would rank dead last among starting goaltenders in goals saved above expected per 60 minutes (GSAx/60) at five-on-five.

Skating in front of the Kahkonen is a lackluster defense that ranks in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) at five-on-five. San Jose’s roster is constructed for offense, while the blue line features some big holes. Their best defenseman, Erik Karlsson, has been a machine offensively this year. However, he does not play defense whatsoever.

This poor defense and goaltending are going to be a problem against a Vancouver team that is hot offensively. The Andre KuzmenkoElias PetterssonIlya Mikheyev line has been a force, posting a 60% expected goal rate through 119 minutes this season.

Meanwhile, Bo Horvat has 17 goals to lead the top line, which puts him second in the league behind Dallas’ Jason Robertson. Look for the Canucks to score four or more goals for the sixth straight game in a matchup against Kahkonen and the Sharks defense.

Back Winnipeg’s Offense

In the first meeting between Winnipeg and Chicago on Nov. 5, the Jets won 4-0. That result likely will occur once again tonight.

The Blackhawks have been bleeding goals defensively, allowing five or more in four of their last five games. At five-on-five this season, Chicago ranks fifth-to-last in the league in xGA/60. Their roster is constructed like that of a tanking organization, which is precisely what they are attempting to do in an effort to win the Connor Bedard sweepstakes in next year’s draft. That is the reason they traded every valuable piece over the offseason outside of Patrick Kane, who is likely to get dealt prior to this year’s trade deadline.

Backing up this lackluster lineup is goaltender Petr Mrazek, who is slated to get the start in this contest. Through seven starts this season, he is 1-4-1 with a .885 save percentage and 3.86 GAA. If he qualified, Mrazek would rank third-to-last among starting goaltenders in GSAx/60 at five-on-five. Meanwhile, the Winnipeg offense is starting to realize the positive regression for which it has been due. Despite ranking fourth-to-last in the league in goals per 60 minutes at five-on-five, the Jets rank 18th in expected goals per 60 at five-on-five. Back them to score four or more goals for the third time in their last four games.

Best NHL Parlay Bet: Jets Team Total Over 3.5 (+105)
