DraftKings Pick6 Predictions Today: THE PLAYERS Championship

We are excited here in the PGA world as DraftKings Pick6 enters the golf fray. No better time than one of the most important tournaments on TOUR. The PLAYERS Championship brings out the best names and tightest shots, all on one of the most demanding courses, set at TPC Sawgrass. There will be plenty of focus on the island green at 17 but Sawgrass presents plenty of other challenges. Let’s look at your three best options for this week’s The PLAYERS Championship.

Here’s the lowdown on DraftKings Pick6: It is meant to mirror most pick’em sites, allowing you to build a two- to six-leg entry with larger payouts for more correct choices. However, the new product is peer-to-peer, meaning the strategy lies in beating other players in pre-selected tournaments rather than beating the house, making it important to be contrarian! DraftKings Pick6 Predictions for The PLAYERS Championship

Viktor Hovland M/L 29.5 Finishing Position

There’s little reason to think Viktor Hovland struggles this week at Sawgrass. He’s finished T20 in each of the last two years but has one extra boost coming into this week – his putting. He’s gained strokes on the green in three of his last four events, which takes an immense amount of pressure off shots around the green. While he’s lost strokes ARG, he’s seen significant improvement over the past two events with his approach shots.

At Sawgrass, SG:APP is as vital of a tool as any in order to win. He’s gaining in the right areas, has a strong history at an immensely difficult course, and his putter won’t kill him. Not having to worry about imploding on the green is an easy pathway to finishing T30 for Hovland.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Viktor Hovland LESS Than 29.5 Finishing Position

Hideki Matsuyama M/L 32.5 Finishing Position

There was a time, pre-covid, when Hideki Matsuyama smashed this course to the tune of a 62. Then the world stopped and the event was stricken from the record books. What didnt change was Matsuyama’s incredible comfort with this Pete Dye course, knowing pure distance is far from the only thing.

There’s another reason to take him to finish basically T30 for the PLAYERS – he’s on an absolute tear. He won the Genesis and followed it up with a T12 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He’s gaining strokes on the green and more importantly, on approach shots. We love Deki to contend to win this week, he’s a must play at this number.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Hideki Matsuyama LESS than 32.5 Finishing Position

Shane Lowry M/L 34.5 Finishing Position

There are few in this field that are readily equipped to take down defending champion Scottie Scheffler. It will take an expert around the green, someone who can set up scoring chances, and ultimately force a guy like Scottie to make some putts. That man is Shane Lowry. He comes in with a T13 in 2022 and a T8 in 2021, demonstrating a clear understanding of how this course works.

Nobody is going to live off the driver, making layups OTT into approach shots into a score as the main method to any victory. Lowry is deadly around the greens and is demonstrating a solid handle on his approach shots – one of the top players gaining strokes on approach shots in the field. He’s going to be in the mix come Sunday even if he doesn’t win.

DraftKings Pick6 Prediction: Shane Lowry LESS than 34.5 Finishing Position
