Valero Texas Open Betting Report: Bettors Really Hoping Rickie Fowler Qualifies For The Masters

PGA fan favorite Rickie Fowler has been in a prolonged slump since being deemed one of the top up-and-comers in the sport earlier in the decade, but he has shown some signs of life in the early going of the PGA season. Fowler now finds himself in a position where he must win the Valero Texas Open this weekend in order to qualify for The Masters and attempt to win his first Green Jacket. Based on the latest Valero Texas Open betting report, bettors are confident Fowler can notch the win and punch his ticket to Augusta National.

The latest Valero Texas Open betting trends show that not only are bettors out there confident in Fowler’s ability despite the rough last few years. But also that the Fowler still has a large fan base pulling for him on a weekly basis.

“My short-term goal is to obviously get myself back in Augusta,” Fowler said earlier in the year to Golf Digest. “I knew I needed to come here and play well. I wasn’t sure of exactly what I needed to do. The nice thing with the kind of World Rankings and what’s coming off, really, anything I do that puts points on the board is only going to move me up from here moving forward.”

Fowler had a chance to qualify for The Masters at the match-play event last weekend. After upsetting Jon Rahm in his first match, Fowler seemed poised to make a run but failed to follow with a deep run. Still, he has top-20 finishes in four of his past five tournaments, including a 13th-place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship earlier in the month.

Augusta National has been kind to Fowler in the past, with him finishing just one stroke shy of Patrick Reed for the championship in 2018. He has not competed in the Masters since the 2020 PGA season.

We’re all hoping to see Rickie Fowler near the top of the leaderboard at The Masters once again. But in order to give himself a chance at the triumph this year, he is going to need to pull off the win at the Valero Texas Open.

The Valero Texas Open betting trends show many bettors will be joining PGA fans everywhere in pulling for Fowler this weekend.
