Heat-Warriors Best Player Prop Bet: Kyle Lowry And Defense Contain Stephen Curry

The 2-3 Miami Heat will travel to San Francisco to take on the 2-2 defending champion Golden State Warriors. The Warriors are favored by 7.5 points while the game has a total of 226. The last three matchups between these two have gone under 226 points. In this post, we’ll be looking at the best Heat-Warriors player prop bets.

Heat-Warriors Player Prop Bets

Steph Curry Prop Bet: O/U 25.5 points

Finals MVP Steph Curry has had a hot start to the season averaging 30.3 points per game. He’s scored 33, 34, 33 in three homes games so far.  He’s attempted nine or more threes in every game and has gone to the line 27 times in four games. However, Steph is coming off a 21-point effort in a loss to Phoenix and has gone under 25.5 point in four of his last five games against Miami.

His last four point totals against Kyle Lowry were 9, 11, 23, and 10. Miami has the seventh best defense in the NBA so far allowing 106.4 points per game and a 44.2% opponent field goal percentage. The Heat are fifth best in opponent assists allowed. The Warriors run at the fastest pace in the league but Miami should slow the game down a bit with their 97.7 pace of play which ranks 26th. Miami finished last season with the third slowest pace in the league and had the third best defensive rating.

Stokastic projections have Curry’s point total at 25.37 which is under this prop. It’s hard to take an under on Steph but Miami plays tough defense. Klay Thompson could be motivated in this one after being ejected against the Suns and could take some shots away from Steph. I’ll take the Heat defense to slow down Steph at plus odds.
