Best PrizePicks CFB Props: Sam Hartman Nearing ACC Touchdown Record

For those familiar with prop betting, PrizePicks puts an interesting spin on player projections. Users create lineups of player props with a shot to 10x their money with certain constructions. This article will dive into the college football bowl games on Friday, giving analysis on the best CFB props to consider.

CFB Props PrizePicks: Dec. 23

Justice Ellison – Over 53.5 Rushing Yards

Justice Ellison finished with 635 yards rushing on 149 carries and 52.9 yards per game. However, Wake Forest has lost Christian Turner and Quinton Cooley to the transfer portal. Together the two combined for 175 carries on the season and over 700 yards rushing. Demond Claiborne and Will Towns are now behind Ellison, and they only combined for 26 carries. While Wake Forest has shown a preference towards a running back committee, Ellison is the only reliable veteran here.

The Demon Deacons are also 2.5-point favorites, pointing to potential positive game script. Wake Forest finished with a 50.6% pass rate this season, but the offense proved incredibly sensitive to the flow of the game. With the departures in the backfield, Ellison projects for 66.3 yards rushing on Stokastic.

Cody Schrader – Over 67.5 Rushing Yards

Similar to Ellison, Missouri lead back Cody Schrader experienced a role change ahead of this game. For Schrader, the change came earlier this season, but Missouri fully committed to him as the lead back at the expense of Nathaniel Peat. Schrader had at least 18 carries in three of the last four games. His lone game below that mark came in a negative game script against Tennessee.

This game projects to be close, putting Schrader into play from a rushing perspective. He is listed at 67.5 yards rushing, and he has eclipsed this mark in four of his last six games. Schrader comes in at 84.9 yards in Stokastic’s projections, giving him quite a bit of value on the over.

Sam Hartman – Under 305.5 Passing Yards

Veteran quarterback Sam Hartman averaged 310.9 yards passing per game for Wake Forest, and he only fell below his listed prop on four occasions. However, the game environment here points towards a potential under. Wake Forest plays conservative football when leading in games, and the game total is just 58.5 points.

Missouri plays strong defense, limiting opposing passers to just 7.1 yards per attempt. The Tigers also play slowly, ranking 97th in pace of play. Motivation is also a question. Hartman will break the ACC touchdown record with one touchdown pass today, but he has already been linked to the NFL as well as the transfer portal, raising motivation questions beyond that touchdown. Hartman projects for 272.2 yards passing, making the under a decent play.
