Bills vs. Browns Weather Report: Betting Total Shoots up Following the News of the Game Being Played in Detroit

Unfortunately for all of the NFL fans hoping for a snow game this week, the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns will not be playing at Highmark Stadium on Sunday. On Thursday afternoon, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced that the NFL is moving the game to Detroit with the threat of a “thundersnow” looming in Buffalo this weekend. So, what’s going on with the Bills-Browns weather?

“NFL officially is moving the Browns-Bills game out of Buffalo and to Ford Field in Detroit, where it will be played Sunday at 1 pm. Bills will play two straight games in Detroit: against the Browns, then on Thanksgiving vs. the Lions,” Schefter said in a tweet.

Bills-Browns Weather Makes Total Skyrocket Following Relocation News

With the threat of significant snow, the over/under for the matchup moved from 41 all the way to 49 now that the game will be played in a dome (per DraftKings).

Regardless of home field advantage, the Bills could really use a win to quiet some of the noise and criticism surrounding their team. Buffalo (6-3) has lost two games in a row despite being the current Super Bowl favorite and sits a half game behind the new-look Miami Dolphins for first place in the AFC East.

Bills QB Josh Allen has been dealing with an elbow injury since the Week 10 loss to the New York Jets and has been limited in practice again this week.

“Just a progression coming off of the game and existing situation he was dealing with starting last week,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said via the team’s website.

Allen shared a similar sentiment.

“Just trying to try to get the body back to game day shape,” he  said. “Just trying to take care of a couple of different elements here or there. It’s no different than what anybody else in the league is doing right now. Guys, if they’re telling you they’re 100%, they’re probably lying.”

While Allen’s injury is surely a worrisome topic for Bills fans, perhaps the on-field performance is even more troubling. Despite their high-powered offense centered around Allen’s ability, they’ve been plagued by mistakes in the red zone, ranking 21st in the NFL in red zone TD scoring (53%).

The Browns will hope to have better fortune against the Bills than they did against the Dolphins in Week 10, when they allowed 39 points in a lopsided loss. Miami didn’t punt once in the game.

As it stands, the Bills are 8.5-point favorites over the Browns.
