Gus Edwards, Kenyan Drake or Justice Hill: Which Running Back Ranks better For Fantasy Football and DFS Ahead of TNF?

The Baltimore Ravens got a shot to their offense when Gus Edwards joined their backfield with Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill in Week 7, and added an immediate impact. So let’s take a look at the Gus Edwards, Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill fantasy football and DFS ranking ahead of their Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In their 23-20 win over the Cleveland Browns, Edwards took over the role of featured back, running 16 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns.

“Gus is looking really good. I think he’s on track,” Ravens OC Greg Roman said after the win. “We’re really excited about having him back. I think he’s getting better every day. I’m really excited about that.”

Gus Edwards, Kenyan Drake, Justice Hill Fantasy Football & DFS Ranking

Per our Stokastic NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 8, we have Edwards (No. 35 of all RBs) ranked ahead of Drake and Hill, but given the uncertainty surrounding the running back dynamic for the Ravens, it’s probably best to keep any of them out of your starting lineup.

Using our free DFS Player Compare tool, Edwards ($5,600) ranks slightly ahead of Drake ($5,000) and Hill ($4,500). But it’s Drake who has the second-highest projection out of the trio.

The running back position has been up for grabs since Dobbins went back on the IR and is expected to undergo more knee surgery this week with hopes of returning before the end of the season.

“It’s always next man up mentality, and he (Dobbins) was my biggest cheerleader,” Drake said. “He’s coming off an injury and I’m coming off one myself. I felt as good as I’ve felt since my injury. I’m going to use it for momentum moving forward.”

It’ll be interesting to see who gets the most opportunities in the Ravens backfield on Thursday Night Football, but the best bet is for Gus Edwards to continue to get more looks as long as he’s healthy.
