Kyler Murray Injury News: Cardinals-Rams Betting Line Moves Following Latest Update on Star QB

The Arizona Cardinals have already had their struggles on the offensive side of the football, and now it appears as though Kyler Murray will be inactive for their Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Murray has been dealing with a hamstring issue all week.

Cardinals-Rams Betting Line Moves With Kyler Murray Injury News

The Cardinals-Rams Week 10 matchup opened with the Rams as a three-point favorite (via DraftKings). But as Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was dealing with a concussion, the line jumped to Rams -1. Now, though, the Rams are back to being favored by three points at home.

If Murray is unable to go, it’ll be veteran backup Colt McCoy. He started three games last season, going 2-1 and throwing for 740 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

“I am playing with a lot of confidence and sort of picked my mojo up a little bit,” said McCoy last season. “I am in a place that is very quarterback-friendly, there are a lot of targets to throw to. I really like the way Kliff (Kingsbury) sees the game, he sees the game from a quarterback’s perspective.”

Unfortunately for McCoy, he may be jumping into a tough situation. Despite coming in with expectations of having a high-powered offense, Kliff Kingsbury’s unit currently ranks 16th with 22.6 point per game and 17th with 337.7 yards per game.

The Rams have also had their struggles offensively despite having a top unit in their Super Bowl championship season a year ago. After finishing the regular season with 372.1 yards per game in 2021, the Rams rank 31st out of 32 NFL teams in yards with a mere 286.0 per game.

“I don’t necessarily think that it’s the panic button, but changes have to be made, adjustments have to be made, we can’t continue to go on like this and what that looks like, I don’t necessarily have the exact answers right now,” McVay said after the latest loss, via team transcripts. “What I don’t want to have anything to be misunderstood that I’m not in this with those guys, I’m a big part of this, I have to do better. We’re going to stay connected throughout this, but we do have to be able to look inward and figure out what are some of the solutions, changes, adjustments, different things that we have to do to be able to get different results and different production from our offense.”

With both offenses struggling, expect a low-scoring affair due to both backups suiting up in the matchup. The over/under is currently set at just 38.5.
