They were led by a defense that held Trey Lance to a 46% completion percentage in a game that poured rain. The Bears struggled to defend the run all game long, though. Before Elijah Mitchell left due to a knee injury, he ran the ball for 41 yards on six carries. Swiss army knife Deebo Samuel ran for 52 yards on eight carries. Dillon should have his fair share of success on the ground against a team against whom he ran for 130 yards in two games last season.
Rodgers tends to have the two games against the Bears circled on his calendar, as he’s owned them ever since he came into the league. Rodgers and company will dominate in their home opener and lean on Dillon to close out the game.
