Thursday Night Football Betting Odds & Trends: Bettors All Over Broncos at Home Over the Colts

This Thursday Night Football game is especially hard to read compared to past weeks.

While the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos came into the season hoping to contend for a Super Bowl, they’ve both struggled offensively out of the gates. The Broncos (2-2) will host the Colts (1-2-1) on Thursday Night Football, and Denver has opened as a slight favorite at -3, per BetMGM.

Public All Over Broncos Over Colts For Thursday Night Football

Per Bet MGM’s John Ewing, 70% of bets are currently on the Broncos at -3, with 77% of the money coming in on Denver. On the money line, the Colts currently own 55% of bets at +150, but 60% of the money is on the Broncos as significant favorites at -180.

Most Bet Props

The most bet props are for Melvin Gordon III to score the first touchdown (+500), Michael Pittman Jr. anytime touchdown (+190) and Jerry Jeudy over receiving yards (-115).

In their loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last week, Jeudy caught four passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. He’s hauled in 11 receptions on 21 targets on the season for 183 yards and two touchdowns.

The Broncos have struggled offensively thus far, specifically in the red zone, but perhaps the Colts are in even worse shape. After being shut out against the Jacksonville Jaguars and tying the Houston Texans in the first two weeks of the season, the Colts were somehow able to sneak away with a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3. Last Sunday, their problems were once again magnified when they were dominated in the trenches by their division rival, the Tennessee Titans.

The Colts will now be without star running back Jonathan Taylor due to an ankle injury when they travel to Denver to take on Russell Wilson and the Broncos.

It seems like a prime opportunity for Wilson to prove that his new team is just fine despite a bumpy start to their season.
