Tom Brady vs. Lamar Jackson: Which Star QB Ranks Better for Fantasy Football & DFS on Week 8 TNF?

Tom Brady and Lamar Jackson will both be trying to overcome uncharacteristic starts to their seasons when the Baltimore Ravens square off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 8. Given the intrigue centered around the two quarterbacks, let’s look at Tom BradyLamar Jackson fantasy football and DFS value.

Tom Brady & Lamar Jackson Fantasy Football and DFS Ranking

Per Stokastic’s NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings for Week 8, Jackson (No. 5 of all quarterbacks) ranks just ahead of Brady (No. 6 on the list), but both are definitely considered starters for the game.

Using Stokastic’s DFS Player Compare tool, Jackson ($8,100) has a slightly better projection than Brady ($6,300), but given the stark difference in price tag, perhaps there’s some more value in the Brady.

After coming out of retirement for his last season under contract with the Buccaneers, Brady has struggled by his standards. He’s still completed 66.9% of passes for 1,942 yards, eight touchdowns and just one interception.

“I said last week that there’s no immediate retirement in my future. There was a retirement in the past, but I moved on from that,” Brady said on his ‘Let’s Go’ podcast this week, via Pro Football Talk. “I made a commitment to this team and I love this team and I love this organization. I told them in March I was playing, and I’ve never quit on anything in my life. And I know a bunch of teammates that we all count on one another to be at our best and to work hard and to put the team first. And that’s what you commit to and that’s what you want your teammates to commit to as well.”

With all the noise centered around Brady and his personal life possibly affecting his play, he’ll have a chance to silence the critics by outshining Jackson on Thursday Night Football.
