2022 World Cup No House Advantage Player Props: Gundogan to Spur Germany on Sunday

We’ve got four more exciting World Cup 2022 matches on Saturday, with games across Groups E and F. Other than Costa Rica, it feels like all of the teams involved on Sunday still have potential for the knockout rounds. Here are three more No House Advantage World Cup player props from Japan-Costa Rica, Croatia-Canada and Spain-Germany. Check out our OddsShopper tool for more of the best World Cup No House Advantage predictions and picks.

No House Advantage World Cup Player Props

Shuto Machino Under 0.5 Shots on Goal

This first World Cup player prop seems rather straightforward as we expect Shuto Machino to stay under 0.5 shots on target versus Costa Rica. Machino is the youngest member of Japan’s World Cup squad and was not involved on Matchday 1. Moreover, his only cap for Japan so far was a 45 minute cameo against the United States back in September.

Undoubtedly, Machino is a tremendous talent, scoring 13 goals in 30 J1 League appearances last season. However, it seems rather optimistic that he is even involved against Costa Rica. Los Ticos will not lose by the same seven-goal margin which happened against Spain, so a substitution appearance and a subsequent shot on target (49.2 SoT%) is unlikely; especially when offensive threats like Takumi Minamino are clearly above Machino in the pecking order.

Cyle Larin Over 0.5 Shots on Goal

Conversely, bet on Cyle Larin to get a least one shot on goal for Canada in their match versus Croatia. Les Rouges were impressive against Belgium, especially in the attack. While the final execution was missing, it seems as though everyone is sold on Canada making noise in the final two group stage games.

The 27 year-old is expected to start on Sunday morning despite not doing so on Sunday. This is thanks to a 33 minute cameo where Larin was able to put up three shots, placing one on frame for the Canadians. This is nothing new for Larin, as he also makes the most of his time on the pitch for Club Brugge in Belgium. This season he actually has 4.27 shots per ninety minutes with 1.71 falling on target.

The Canadian forward will play next to Jonathan David, which will only help the chances for this play. David’s 44 shot creating actions in Ligue 1 this year show off his creativity, in addition to his finishing. Croatia will not be an easy side to break down, but Larin should get the job done here.

Ilkay Gundogan Over 0.5 Shots on Goal

Ride with Ilkay Gundogdan to get at least one shot on goal in Sunday’s final World Cup Player Prop. The 32 year-old was all over the place for Germany in Matchday 1 and was arguably their best player. Gundogan took five shots, two of which were on target and also attempted 72 passes. His impact for this Germany side is indescribable which is why I favor him to show up big in this match versus Spain.

Also, in the past year, Gundogdan has averaged 0.84 shots on target per ninety minutes, so this is not based on recency alone. When you narrow those matches down to just his international play for Germany, that number increased to a staggering 1.80 shots on target per ninety minutes. This is an easy play to cap off a trio of World Cup player props for Sunday’s slate.
